Joan's Story

I cannot remember not believing God is, and that He gave Jesus to die for us; but I never knew that I could really know Him, and have a personal relationship with Him. There were times I'd try to read the bible and attempt to pray.. trying to connect with Him, but it didn't take long before I'd give up.

I was in my forties when I read a book by Catherine Marshall, and I desperately wanted to experience what she had shared, but I resisted the call of the Holy Spirit. He continued to pursue me, until one morning I said, " I give up! I know I can't go on without You."

This surrender took place over thirty years ago, and I've experencd the love, the joy, the security of knowing God and the wonder of His love for me every minute of every day.
