What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, a book written down by men but divinely inspired by God, without error, and meant to be the guide and the final authority for our lives.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died in our place on the cross, rising again on the third day. He now sits at the Father’s right hand, interceding for us.
We believe that everyone who repents and trusts in Jesus is saved, born again into God’s family, forgiven of their sin, and granted the gift of eternal life. These gifts are given to us freely by the grace of God, not based on anything we have done or can do.
We believe in baptism by immersion for believers as a symbol of our death and resurrection in Jesus and of our new life with Him.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is at work in the lives of all believers, giving guidance, comfort, encouragement, and other gifts. And we believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a tangible experience, separate from salvation; the empowering presence of God in our lives, giving gifts to individuals and to the church.
We believe that the universal church is the living body of Christ, of which He is the head and all believers are members. We also believe that the local church is to be a loving community meeting together to worship God, strengthen and encourage each other, and reach the nations.
