Steve's Story

I was raised in an Italian-Catholic family and at the age of 12 had serious thoughts of entering the Seminary when I got older.

While attending college I stopped going to church. After college, I moved away from home and started a career in Food Service. For almost 20 years I worked most Saturdays and Sundays.

After marriage and two kids, I began to think about church again (for my children more than myself). We tried a few churches - but could not find one that we felt good about.

Then in 2003, I lost my father and my marriage at the same time. I felt lost and out of control. I needed help and God reached out to me. Greg and Bonnie Evans walked across our neighborhood street and befriended me. They invited me to come back to Grace Church. During praise and worship I felt God's presence. That is when I turned over control of my life to Him.

I was angry, hurt, and full of guilt. God has freed me of this with His love and grace.
